Where have all the statesmen gone?

I don’t intend to get into political debates between Republican/Democrat, or Conservative/Liberal here.

Depending on the topic, people could label me any of the above or even moderate and libertarian at times. In other words…I AM NOT A LABEL. I am a person.

My opinions have been influenced by my experiences in life, and none of them could be summed up into any of the labels the media likes to use.

I am currently registered republican, because you had to check the little box when you registered. I think I was registered democrat in the last state I lived in. Either way, I vote for who I want, not any particular party.

My concern is more for the state of politics in general. In other words. I don’t like any of them. Do American’s really feel like our elected officials are working for us? I like to think of it as the babysitting test. Would you trust them to watch your kids?

It seems to me, all they do is run for office. They get elected and start working on the next election. None of them actually governs.

No one is actually working in Washington. (well except the waitresses, taxi drivers, police, nurses etc.)

So I look forward to talking to you about government waste, idiotic policies and the total lack of common sense in our capital.
